The drug has helped some people achieve their weight loss goals, but many have complained about negative side effects.
A TikTok user named Madison Peoples said she was able to lose 42 pounds within eight months of starting Ozempic Before and After, but she also had to deal with nausea, acid reflux, and a rapid heartbeat. Other users have reported similar negative side effects.
According to the drug’s website, Ozempic suppresses appetite and slows down the emptying of the stomach after a meal. This can help prevent overeating and encourage the body to burn stored fat for energy, contributing to weight loss. It also increases the production of glucagon, which acts in opposition to insulin and helps regulate blood sugar levels.
The Ozempic Journey: Before and After Results Revealed
Some people take Ozempic for diabetes and have noticed that their blood sugar levels decrease as a result of the medication. It can be helpful for those with type 2 diabetes, as it increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin.
In some cases, the side effects of decreased blood sugar can be dangerous if not treated promptly. A severe case can lead to a diabetic coma or even death. In mild cases, however, hypoglycemia can be quickly corrected by eating a sweet treat like a candy bar or piece of fruit.
Other negative side effects of Ozempic include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain and an increased risk of pancreatitis. It can also increase the likelihood of a rare disorder called multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.
